I am so excited to share my tips and ideas for word study with Illustrated Faith Word Nerd kit whether you choose to work through a journaling Bible, memorydex cards, and in the kit TN.
If you have never done word study before, you are in for a real treat. There is something so powerful about digging deep into scripture and truly asking for God’s wisdom. But it can also be overwhelming when first getting started. If you have no clue where to get started then I hope these ideas today will be helpful. Start out by grabbing your Word Nerd kit from Illustrated Faith.
Then check out all the details below in this video for some guidance and ideas of ways that I’m working through my own word study journey.
After I have decided on a word and scripture, I start out by writing notes and prayers using the Word Nerd TN from the kit as a guide. I decorate and embellish the TN pages as much as I like at the time.
Then I move to my journaling Bible and either journal the main scripture or one of the cross reference verses. Pull all sorts of goodies from your stash or printable collection. If you missed it before, check out THIS post I shared last week showing the supplies I pulled and how I’m organizing them.
I designed a whole collection of printables in my Etsy shop, “Bible Bookworm,” including this pencil label set. Hopefully the suggested words will give you a starting point.
Because I’ve been loving the whole memorydex system lately, I decided to make a card for each word as I work through this study. You can keep it simple too with a few alpha stickers and writing out the scripture for that word.
Be prepared to become addicted the more you work through different words and scriptures. I would love to know how you plan to work through your own word study. Let me know in the comments below. God bless!
