Today is THE day!! The Books of Psalms and Proverbs Illustrating Bible is now available from DaySpring!!
I shared a full review of this new edition of the Illustrating Bible last week that you can check out HERE if you want more of the nitty gritty details. But today, I want to share some encouragement for each of you once you get your new Bible or any Bible for that fact.
I am a recovering perfectionist at heart. I don’t like making mistakes especially in my journaling Bibles or planners but who does really?! If you can relate then today is for you. I’m sharing some tips for breaking open your new Books of Psalms and Proverbs as soon as you get it with your very first entry.
Check out the process video below to see my very first entry in my Bible as well as a fun printable I designed to coordinate with this beautiful coral cover.
For my first entry, I wanted to take some pressure off my shoulders and just jump in. The perfect way to do this is with my friend Lauren from The Thinking Closet and her genius idea. She created permission pages in the cover of her journaling Bible several years ago. It allows her mentally to let go and also have a place to write all those insecurities or mistakes down.
I have done this in other Bibles and couldn’t wait to do the same for my new Illustrating Bible.
I used alpha stickers and this rainbow printable to add some fun and simple color to the front pages. Plus you can grab this printable FREE as my gift of encouragement to you to do the same and not let your Bible collect dust on your desk before you open it.

Stay tuned in the next few weeks where I’ll be sharing a fun plan to work through the book of Proverbs using this Illustrating Bible. Proverbs has 31 chapters which makes it perfect to study through each 31 days of March. I can’t wait to share more and hope you’ll join in too.

I loved watching you make your permission page.
I don’t have trouble getting started in a new Bible.
But my creative juices do not flow very quickly.
I hope you are ok with me coping your permission
because the “For” and “Not For” is a good idea to
add to this Bible.
