We see so many different posts on Pinterest showing us what we can make to decorate for the next birthday party that we start to get overwhelmed sometime with all the planning and making and decorating. Who really has time to keep up with all that?

Decorate for any occasion without spending all the money and effort. This party garland using cupcake liners from thesouthencouture.com is perfect to make within minutes and for only dollars.

Well now you don’t have to anymore, because I have a simple, quick, and inexpensive decorating idea that you can use to decorate for just about any party from birthdays to wedding showers to baby showers and just about any other party you can think of.

All you have to do to change it up for the occasion is buy different cupcake liners. Cupcake liners can be found just about anywhere and even as inexpensive as just $1.00. I love finding different and cute designs too.

Your kids can also join in on the decorating fun by helping you make this garland. You only need 3 supplies to get you going:

Start by measuring the length you will need for the garland and cut your bakers twine accordingly being sure to leave a little extra in order to have room to hang it.

Fold cupcake liners in half and hole punch on fold to make an opening to string the bakers twine through.

*Don’t actually fold the cupcake liner in half making a crease but just enough to hole punch it.

String the cupcake liners on to the bakers twine through each hole. I used a specific pattern for this one but you don’t have to.

You could even turn the cupcake liners all in the same direction or facing each other as I did. I also used mini cupcake liners along with the standard size.

Hang your garland wherever you choose and even add a little ribbon at each end for an extra pop.

I love the way mine turned out for a birthday party. My cupcake liners have the cutest little cupcakes on the bottom of the larger ones with dots and stripes on the mini liners. All are Martha Stewart brand which you gotta love too.

I hung mine above the gift and party favor table. I just love all the bright colors. These would also be perfect to hang above the food and dessert table after all they are cupcake liners.

See…your party decorations don’t have to be anything complicated, time consuming, or expensive. You can make this banner in a matter of minutes for only a few dollars easily.

Change the cupcake liners and voila…you have yourself a new decoration for every occasion.

Enjoy the little things in life and celebrate every occasion no matter how small it may seem.

Thank you so much! This would be perfect for that. It is so easy and so inexpensive to make which makes it even better. Is the shower for a boy or girl? I just did a shower for my sister-in-law for her baby boy and it was so much fun.
