Your kids and guests will absolutely love this cake ball waffle cone dessert that is perfect for a backyard cook-out.
Looking for a fun dessert for kids of all ages to enjoy this July 4th or at any backyard BBQ this summer? Then you have come to the right place.
In my opinion, anything topped with whipped cream and sprinkles is guaranteed to be tasty, right? Let’s get started making some now so you will be ready for your next party.
Ingredients:
Waffle cones
Blue candy melts
Red, white, and blue sprinkles
Red velvet cake balls*
Whipped cream
Strawberry syrup
*Cake balls are so simple and easy to make. Check out this post to see how to make your own. You will simple just want to make the recipe until the cake ball and not use lollipop sticks like it says with cake pops.
Start by melting your blue candy melts according to package directions. Once the candy is smooth, dip the rim and as far down as you want of your waffle cone into the candy.
Dip the cone into the sprinkles or shake them onto the candy before it hardens.
Once your waffle cones have hardened, place your cake balls into the cone until it is full. My waffle cones were smaller and held about 2 each.
Spray whipped cream on top and drizzle with strawberry syrup and sprinkles.
Now don’t say I didn’t warn you that kids of ALL ages will want to enjoy one of these too! They are super cute but also addictive once you start eating one.
Enjoy with a fork or just get messy and eat it with your hands. After all it is summer and a backyard BBQ so who cares?
Hope you enjoy your summer and July 4th! And the greatest of these is love,

Enjoy a bite-sized treat that you can make with just a few ingredients with this s’mores granola bites recipe.
You have been warned. Today’s post is going to be a little different from what you are used to seeing with DIY, crafts, Bible journaling, etc. but still has some of that same goodness, like this s’mores granola bites recipe, mixed in. I want to share a more personal side of my life with y’all and would love to know more about each of you as well.
If you have followed me on social media for any length of time, you will find that I have 2 incredible dogs that are absolutely my life and children. Bryant is my 8 year old yellow lab and Jayda is my 4 year old ChiPom. Mac is my chocolate lab that is now smiling down at us from above and eating the largest turkey leg you can imagine.
One thing I love being able to do since I do not have children yet is treating my dogs pretty special no matter what the occasion. One way I love to do that is to surprise them with a special new treat when I come home from shopping. And trust me; they know I’ve bought them something. *Be sure to only give them these treats from time to time. You wouldn’t want to spoil their dinner appetite. And my Jayda has to have hers broke into smaller pieces because she is so small.
I recently ordered these new Rachael Ray™ Nutrish® Treats in 5 different varieties from Chewy.com. These certainly did not disappoint.
Rachael Ray™ Nutrish® Deli Cuts
Rachael Ray™ Nutrish® Meatloaf Morsels
Rachael Ray™ Nutrish® Pawsta
Rachael Ray™ Nutrish® Savory Roasters
Rachael Ray™ Nutrish® Burger Bites
The names and shapes are just absolutely adorable and so creative. Here is what I love about them the most though. There is no corn or wheat, no artificial flavors, and no meat by-products. Dogs everywhere will be craving this meaty deliciousness so make sure you have plenty on hand. I know Bryant and Jayda are absolutely thrilled and begging for more all the time.
But now for us humans…Do you ever hand out treats to your furbabies wishing you had your own little treat to enjoy? Sometimes we all need a little something sweet after a long and hard day. These s’mores granola bites are the perfect bite sized treat to pop in your mouth and enjoy while the puppies are enjoying their own treat.
Ingredients:
2 Tbsp Dark chocolate chips
3/4 cup Oats
1/4 cup Peanut butter
1 tbsp Mini hot cocoa marshmallows
Combine all ingredients in a bowl.
Roll a small scoop together in your hands to form a small ball. Set aside and continue rolling the mixture until all the bites are made. Now you just need to enjoy and treat yourself.
Now how easy was that and you have your own sweet treat to snack on while your doggies get their own treats. *Just be careful not to confuse the two. No s’mores bites for the dogs. Just us humans. Shhh. Don’t tell them.
Please introduce me to your furbabies in the comments below. I would love to even see a picture of them if you want to share with me on social media. Check out more details on the Rachael Ray™ Nutrish® Treats and even get a COUPON to save $1.50 off 1. The coupon can be used all year and you can print 2 copies of it for more savings.
Rachael Ray™ Nutrish® Treats are intended for intermittent or supplemental feeding only. Please watch your dog to ensure Nutrish treats are thoroughly chewed before swallowing. Break into small pieces for smaller dogs.

Your guests will love this touchdown party dip perfect for game day parties to snack on the entire game whenever a craving hits.
We all know the big game of football is coming soon so why not start preparing now and getting your party gear ready to go. And if you are a procrastinator, then no worries. The recipe and fun foodie DIY I have to show you today is going to be perfect to keep you out of the kitchen and spending more time watching the game with family and friends.
The key to a great party and entertaining are buying foods that are pretty much already prepared and just adding your own special twist to them. This way you can enjoy your friends and the game as much as possible without being stuck in the kitchen. Tyson® products are my personal go-to whenever I am needing party and game day foods for this exact reason.
Go on and head over to Sam’s Club where you can find both Tyson® Boneless Wyngz (3 lbs) Buffalo and State Fair® Mini Corn Dogs (65 cnt). You simply cannot beat the value Sam’s Club offers. Pick up a few of each and now you are ready to whip up this quick and easy Touchdown Party Dip perfect for any game day or party occasion. It pairs perfectly with both of these.
Ingredients:
1 cup Mayonnaise
1 ½ tablespoons Ketchup
1 tsp sriracha
1 tablespoon Sweet relish
1 Garlic clove, minced
Salt and pepper, to taste
Mustard, for decoration
Mix all the above ingredients together except the mustard in a bowl and serve along with the Tyson® Boneless Wyngz (3 lbs) Buffalo and State Fair® Mini Corn Dogs.
For a little something extra fun, use a toothpick to dip in some mustard and draw on the corn dog the stitching similar to a football. These “mini footballs” will be adorable with this whole serving set-up.
Because the mini corn dogs have now become “mini footballs”, we have to set up a field goal. Using yellow pipe cleaners, bend them into the shape of the posts used for field goals. I took 2 pipe cleaners and just twisted them together to make it thicker and sturdier.
I placed the food on a plate on the table with the touchdown party dip sitting above the food platter using a plain white box. You could also use a cake stand. I attached the field goal posts to the white box in front of the dip using clear tape. I placed green scrapbook paper under the dip for the grass of the field.
Now when guests go to dip their food, the “mini footballs” we decorated earlier with the mustard will be perfect, and the scoring field goal to please all their appetites the entire game. I just love this whole set up and how easy it was to prepare the food and set everything up. Now I don’t have to worry about being in the kitchen and missing any of the big game. My husband will be pleased with the food which is another win!
Hurry to Sam’s Club now where the value can’t be beat and your guests are sure to be pleased. I am absolutely in love with the field goal posts I made so easily and the whole set-up. Let me know in the comments below if you have any game day food or tablescape ideas. I would love any new suggestions. Plus head over to claim this Ibotta offer for an extra savings before shopping.

With just a little effort, make some decorative hot cocoa spoons that you can enjoy with any warm cup of hot chocolate. Also perfect for a gift.
I certainly have always loved hot cocoa, but for some reason this year I have been going crazy over it. It seems like every afternoon after working or at night, I find myself in the kitchen sneaking another warm cup with whipped cream and sprinkles on top. How delicious does that sound especially when your cuddled up under a warm blanket in front of the fireplace with the tree glowing beside you?
If that sounds pretty amazing, then why not share that experience with someone else with these decorative hot cocoa spoons? These would make the perfect DIY gift for friends, neighbors, coworkers, stocking stuffers, etc. when you pair them with some cocoa mix. Now they can make the same memories you are with their warm cup of cocoa. Let’s get started now so you can enjoy a cup right away. Plus there is a special little twist of an ingredient that I use to give a surprise flavor when they take a sip.
You will need spoons obviously so why not use Chinet and their cut crystal cutlery. I love this pack because they look so fancy and the design on the handle takes the whole appearance a notch above. *And no, I’m not being paid to say this. I truly do love their products. It’s that simple.
My special little twist in flavor are these combination chocolate chips that also have mint flavored chips mixed in. Once you melt them, you can’t see the color difference, but the flavor is huge.
Melt your chocolate chips according to the package directions until it is smooth.
Dip a spoon in the chocolate until the bottom is completely covered.
Immediately add your toppings or a combination even. You do not want to wait until the chocolate hardens so that your toppings will stick.
I lay mine on parchment paper to let the chocolate harden. The chocolate and spoons will not stick either and remove very easily.
I used a couple different assortment of sprinkles, some mini marshmallows, and crushed candy cane pieces.
Now you just need a big mug full of hot cocoa and you are ready to start dipping and stirring.
The mint chocolate chips will also give the cocoa a hint of peppermint flavor that is truly delicious.
What would be your topping of choice? I love the mini marshmallows! Let me know in the comments below. And if you are truly indulgent, then go ahead and add a squirt of whipped cream and sprinkles to the top. Merry Christmas!

Get the kids in on the fun this holiday season with these adorable pumpkin marshmallow pops that they can help you decorate too.
I can’t believe I’m really typing this as I do, but it’s really almost October which means Halloween. And Halloween means it’s time for sweet treats and fun costumes. I have a recipe for you and your kids to make some fun pumpkin marshmallow pops together.
Not only are they easy to make but also delicious to snack on. These would be perfect for a Halloween party or for your kid’s classmates at school. Your kids will definitely enjoy decorating them too.
Pumpkin Marshmallow Pops
Ingredients & Supplies:
Orange candy melts
Marshmallows
Pretzel sticks
Leaf sprinkles
Paper straws or lollipop sticks
Black edible marker
Cake pop stand
Start by breaking off the ends of the pretzel sticks to use for the stem of the pumpkin.
Melt your candy melts according to package directions until smooth.
Dip the end of the paper straw into the candy melt and then into the end of one marshmallow.
Dip in the melt until completely covered.
Place a pretzel piece in the top of the marshmallow with a leaf sprinkle beside it before the chocolate hardens.
Place the treat pop in the stand to harden.
Once you have finished dipping your marshmallows and the candy melt has hardened, use the edible marker to draw the faces of the jack-o-lanterns.
And now you have not only a sweet treat but one that is just as adorable. Who can resist that little pumpkin face?
Plus the great thing is that you can leave the faces off and have pumpkin pops for Thanksgiving too.
I love a dessert and treat that anyone can make and have ready to go even at the last minute when you are scrambling for ideas.
Have a frightfully fun Halloween and let me know what your kids are dressing up for Halloween this year. I would love to hear any fun or unique ideas.
You will also enjoy these eyeball cake pops for Halloween that I made one year. They turned out perfect and so realistic.

Sink your teeth into this game day favorite with these cheesy jalapeno sausage balls.
Fall means football which means weekends in our house are about to get serious real fast. We both even have a fantasy football league so it tends to get competitive real fast. We absolutely love watching the games while eating delicious food too.
My favorite go-to party food are sausage balls. They are just one of those foods that you can pop in your mouth and enjoy while the game is going. No need to look away from the TV. Plus they’re a great snack to eat on the entire game.
My sausage balls have an extra pop of flavor especially if you enjoy a little spice. Keep reading to find out more. The good news is you can change the flavor if you don’t prefer the heat with the change of one simple ingredient.
Preheat the oven to 350 F.
Combine all ingredients in a bowl.
Roll the mixture into small balls about 1″ in diameter.
Place on a greased baking sheet or cover baking sheet with parchment paper for easier cleanup.
Bake in preheated oven for about 25 minutes.
Now all you need to do is enjoy and watch some football!
Like I said before, if you want a different flavor than the heat from the jalapeño chips, just switch out the flavor of chips. Sour cream and onion or BBQ chips would also be a great choice.
May I suggest checking out the Wise Chips variety at Family Dollar. They have a large selection perfect for tailgating too. And it’s all just in time for football. Plus who doesn’t love to snack on chips while watching a big game.
Now we all need something cold and refreshing to wash down those salty and spicy snacks. There is nothing more refreshing than an ice cold Coca-Cola Zero™.
Get all the Coca-Cola™ and Powerade products you need at Family Dollar too. Be sure to keep an eye out for the special one-stop display for all the Wise and Coca-Cola products you will need. SAVE $1 when you buy (1) 12-pack of any Coca-Cola® product plus (1) Wise snack 3oz or larger at Family Dollar today.
Now let’s get ready for football!!!! Any other huge fans out there? I know I’m not the only one. Let me know what your favorite go-to game day recipes are in the comments below. And be sure to find a Family Dollar near you for all your game day needs.

Now that the heat is here with Summer warming up, get ready to build a perfect banana split that is sweet to enjoy on any warm day to cool down.
Let’s face it. Summer is all about getting outside, having some fun, and getting dirty. There is just something about running in the grass barefooted and drinking water from the hose pipe.
My favorite memory and part of summer though had to be enjoying an ice cream cone in the hot summer sun. I ended up licking the ice cream as fast as I could to keep it from melting all over my hands. Usually I still was a mess.
Messes no longer have to be a problem because I have found a paper towel that no other brands can even add up to. I truly mean that. At Publix you will find Viva® Towel and Viva® Vantage® Towels. Go ahead and trust me on this and just pick them up. You won’t regret it.
They are perfect for getting your kitchen and porch ready for summer cookouts and gatherings. The Viva Vantage Towels are perfect for scrubbing hard, stubborn spills including any dried ice cream that is sticky after having today’s banana split. The Viva Towels are great with a more smooth surface for wiping off dishes, countertops and your hands.
Because they are strong, stretchy, and flexible like cloth you can build a perfect banana split and enjoy it knowing that the mess has already been taken care of. Now let’s get the recipe for this sweet summer treat.
Build a Perfect Banana Split
Ingredients:
Bananas
Neapolitan ice cream
Chocolate syrup
Strawberry syrup
Caramel syrup
Rainbow sprinkles
Use a loaf pan to start layering with the bananas on the bottom or sides. I placed one banana on each side or you can cut one banana in half.
Top it with a scoop of chocolate, vanilla, and strawberry ice cream.
Next swirl the chocolate syrup on the chocolate ice cream, the strawberry on the strawberry ice cream, and then the caramel syrup to the vanilla.
Shake a few sprinkles on top and you have just built a perfect banana split that everyone can enjoy. Add a cute wooden spoon and you are all set.
Now with the summer heat, that ice cream will start melting pretty quickly and can become sticky all over your hands and mouth. When it does just dampen one of the towels and wipe off. You will be good as new. Plus don’t forget to head to Publix to get yours today too.
Let me know what your favorite Summer treat to enjoy is in the comments below. The messier the better. Plus check out other ways to use Viva® Towel and Viva® Vantage® Towels to make your summer even easier.
If you love banana splits or ice cream in general then be sure to check out this Banana Split Ice Cream Party Bar that is perfect for Summer and also much easier to host with the help of Viva Towels.

Let dinner cook its self with this recipe for a slow cooker pork roast 3 ways. You will have dinner solved for half the week.
The best things in life are usually those that are simple. Not everything has to be complex and difficult which is why I absolutely adore this recipe or should I say recipes today that will make dinner so much easier for you.
Slow Cooker Pork Roast 3 Ways
It all starts with a pork roast made using a slow cooker. You just put it in that morning and let it go all day. Then it’s ready when you are ready for dinner.
I also have found that this pork roast goes a long way which makes it perfect for entertaining guests and also to have dinner for 3 different nights with minimal work.
Below you will find 3 different ways to use this pork roast recipe and have dinner for 3 different nights. I love leftovers and this is the perfect way to mix it up and not eat the same thing over and over.
First let’s start with the slow cooker pork roast recipe.
Ingredients:
1- 3 lb. pork roast *I use 3 lbs. for Mark and I which is the perfect amount for 3 dinners.
Salt
Pepper
1 cup ketchup
2 tablespoons chili powder
2 tablespoons light brown sugar
2 teaspoons chili powder
2 teaspoons cumin
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 large yellow onion, diced
Directions:
Season the pork roast on all sides generously with salt and pepper.
Place in a pan on high heat and brown all sides.
In a separate bowl, combine the ketchup, chili powder, light brown sugar, chili powder, cumin, and garlic cloves.
Place the pork roast and diced onions in the slow cooker and top with the sauce mixture until the pork roast is completely covered.
Cook on low for 8 hours. *I usually cook mine on low for 8 hours and then on high for about an hour or 2 before dinner.
Shred the pork removing any excess fat. Pour some of the remaining excess juices and onions from the slow cooker on top of the pork for a sauce.
Dinner #1: Shredded Pork Tacos
Heat tortilla shells in a skillet and then add the shredded pork. I usually top ours with guacamole, my homemade restaurant style salsa recipe, and a sprig of cilantro.
Serve with chips and salsa and you are good to go.
Dinner #2: BBQ Pork Sandwiches
Combine some shredded pork in a bowl with your favorite BBQ sauce. Top a sesame seed bun with the shredded pork and top with a couple pickle chips. I also love to top mine with slaw.
Serve with french fries or potato chips.
Dinner #3: BBQ Pork Tacos
Why not enjoy a BBQ sandwich on a taco too? Combine shredded pork and BBQ sauce in a bowl and then place inside a warmed tortilla shell. Top with shredded cheddar cheese and pickle chips.
Serve with slaw or baked beans.
Now you have 3 dinners just waiting on you from one slow cooker and about 10 minutes of work to get the slow cooker going. I love knowing that my pork roast is in the slow cooker and I don’t have to think about or worry about what I’m fixing for dinner.
Let me know in the comments below which of the 3 is your favorite and if you found this recipe helpful.
Also if you have not already, please join me on Facebook, Pinterest, Instagram, and Twitter. I would love to hear from you with any comments, suggestions, or ideas you may have.
