Football season has started and in full swing now. I actually do love watching football with my husband. This year is the first year that I also have a fantasy football team which makes watching football even more fun. After church on Sundays at our house consists of football and lots of it. So I thought we need a new and fun treat to enjoy while watching the game.

Plus keep reading for a fun giveaway for a KitchenAid mixer. I have one that is hot pink and absolutely love it. It would be perfect to use when baking these cookies.

Fall always makes me think of apple pie and pecan pie. Now you can enjoy both together in one fun dessert. Get this fun and new recipe at thesoutherncouture.com.

That’s when the idea for this caramel apple pecan pie cookie came from. With football that means Fall too which leads to stores having special seasonal items. I was in Walmart and found these Pillsbury™ Moist Supreme® caramel apple cookie mix and Pillsbury™ Supreme Creamy® caramel apple frosting.

It seemed like the perfect idea to me for fall and football, but they were needing something extra to make them even more special. I also ran upon these M&M’s® Pecan Pie in the picture above and thought how unique. I had never even seen them before must less try them.

The creative juices are really flowing now at this point while I walk the aisles at Walmart. Thankfully no one can see inside my head, or they might have been freaked out just a little bit. But now to keep the apple flavor, I love using apple juice in baking recipes to make them more moist. So over to grab some Mott’s® apple juice. While I was there, I had to try the Snapple® apple single serve glass to drink while baking or even during the game. It just looks so tasty and really is.

While the cookies are cooling, you can prepare the brown sugar crumble that will go on top of the apples. Combine crushed pecans or M&M’s® Pecan Pie with Mott’s® apple juice and brown sugar. *I usually just add enough of each until I have the right consistency to be able to crumble it on top. It will also depend on how many cookies you are planning on baking.

Once the cookies have cooled, it is time for the fun part. Ice the cookies with the Pillsbury™ Supreme Creamy® caramel apple frosting. Place several apple slices on each cookie and top with the brown sugar crumble.
