We should all know by now that a favorite project of mine is anything upcycling and finding a new way to repurpose what some would call trash into something beautiful.
I have the perfect idea for your Spring table and centerpiece that you will absolutely fall in love with to bring back some bright color after a cold winter. Plus you can even enjoy a refreshing drink before you get to crafting.
You will want to head to Kroger to find the brand new, uniquely designed Diet Coke bottles from Coca-Cola that are only available for a limited time. Each bottle has its own design making no 2 bottles the same. I love that they are all unique like a snowflake, right?
Once you have enjoyed your refreshing Diet Coke, rinse and clean the bottles but donโt dare throw them away. You can use them to spruce up your dining room table and bring some fun new color with this Spring centerpiece and place settings.
Spring Centerpiece
Supplies:
- Uniquely Designed Diet Coke Bottles
- Flowers
- Tray or plate
- Twine
- Washi tape
- Clear tape
- Place the empty bottles on a tray that you would like to place in the center of the table.
- Place flowers inside each bottle.
- Cut a piece of twine that will be long enough to drape across the bottles.
- Place washi tape around the twine and stick the backs together to form a flag.
- Cut a triangle out of the bottom of each flag.
6. Hang the ends of the twine to the end bottles allowing room for the banner to drape across the front.
7. I even placed the bottle caps on the tray for a little something extra. I have always loved collecting the bottle caps from glass bottles.
With the touch of color from the bottle designs, the washi tape, and the flowers, you now have a colorful and beautiful centerpiece that is perfect to kick out those winter blues. Plus it doesnโt cost you an arm and a leg to decorate for each season when you can find items you already have that you would normally throw away.
To keep your table colorful and tie in the same theme with the Diet Coke bottles being used in the centerpiece, you can also use them to make personalized place settings.
Personalized Place Settings
Supplies:
- Uniquely Designed Diet Coke Bottles
- Paper Straws
- Washi tape
- Black permanent marker
- Clear tape
Place a piece of washi tape around the paper straw sticking the backs of the tape to each other to form a flag.
With a black permanent marker, write the names of either your family members or guests that will be coming for dinner.
Place the paper straw inside an empty bottle. You will need to place a piece of tape to the paper straw at the rim of the bottle to keep it from falling inside the bottle.
You can now place the personalized bottles at each setting in place of a traditional place card. I love the idea of also being able to use both these ideas for a fun Spring themed tablescape or even for a fun Valentineโs Day dinner for the whole family to enjoy.
The next time you go to throw away your โtrashโ, stop to think how you can reuse it and make something beautiful. These Diet Coke bottles are perfect for Spring activities with these kids.
Just be sure to stop in at Kroger to see what designs you can find. Let me know in the comments below what ideas you may have to reuse your own bottles. Also be sure to check out more ideas for these unique bottles HERE.
Enjoy the Spring weather that will hopefully be here soon with a little extra color from these extraordinary Diet Coke bottles too.
