Now that everyone is back in school and the routines are all set, why not surprise your little one with a note in their lunchbox to let them know just how much you are thinking about them during the day? For the younger ones, not seeing their Mommy or Daddy all day can be rough. But once they go to lunch and see a note from you, their day can be all better.
I remember my Mom leaving me notes in my lunch every day that were simple but let me know how much she cares. Now you can do the same thing but have a note card that you can reuse throughout the entire school year.
How you might ask? You just need a laminating machine. If you donโt have one or donโt want to invest in one then you can also buy self-sealing laminating sheets that donโt require a machine.
Any notepad or scrapbook paper cut into small note card sizes would work perfect, but I have these adorable Project Life cards that work perfect and are just the right size. I actually found these and another box at a local discount store for only $5.00 a box. I know right?! Thatโs amazing.
I placed several in a laminating sheet and put it through the machine. And voila! I just love the fun in seeing something laminate. Now all you need to do is cut them out.
Use washi tape to attach them to your childโs Tupperware containers or the inside of the lunchbox. Write on them using dry erase markers and then all you have to do is wipe them off with a towel for the next day.
One of my Project Life cards had several different emotions listed with checkboxes beside them. I thought this was a perfect idea to use for your kids to write back to you how theyโre feeling and make it easier for you guys to talk. Just donโt forget to include a dry erase marker in their lunchbox.
I hope you and your youngsters will enjoy this fun idea to pass notes at school! At least in their lunchbox and not during class. Plus I hope that they are all having a fantastic school year so far.
