But today, I want to share some ideas for setting up a brand new Bible as soon as you get it. First of all, many people are intimidated with a brand new Bible and will not even open it but let it lay on their desk or a shelf. One reason for that is that many of us perfectionists. Let’s break past that and dive into God’s Word. *I want to first say that these are some fun ideas I have found that are helpful for me. They are absolutely not necessary for studying the Word, but I do hope they are helpful.
Check out all the ideas and tips in the video below as I flip-through my Hope & Encouragement Bible.
I love to begin each new Bible study or devotional with a prayer, so why not do the same when getting a new Bible?
Traditional, thin Bible pages like to stick together making it hard sometimes to flip to a certain book more easily or even find it. To begin with I love to add Bible tabs for each book. THIS SET from DaySpring is part of the Candace Cameron Bure collection and match this Bible beautifully.
For additional reference sections that may be included, I like to add tabs to those pages across the top to make them easier to find. That way they aren’t confused with the books of the Bible tabs. This Hope & Encouragement Bible has several sections including the 12 Indisputable Truths, Visual Overview, and more.
On one of the first pages in the Bible, I include somewhat of a dashboard for all those planner girls like myself. I love having a place to include sticky notes and more for quick access when studying and wanting to take additional notes.
And then to add to the fun, I love adding stickers to the front and back covers of my Bibles. Who doesn’t love stickers and they’re always fun to see when opening my Bible.
I would love to know what tips you have as well for setting up a Bible when studying. Let me know in the comments below. And don’t forget to grab your Hope & Encouragement Bible from DaySpring now during pre-order and get a FREE 100 Days of Hope & Encouragement Devotional Journal. God bless!
