This is the beginning of a new series featuring My Favorite Things Craft Edition with the Heidi Swapp Minc Machine. Each month I’ll be featuring a new item that I love whether an old favorite or a new find.
Some of the links below are “affiliate links.” This means if you click a link and purchase an item, I will receive a small affiliate commission that helps me to be able to continue with this blog and hopefully continue to inspire you as well.
I get questions sometimes from y’all asking what certain products I like to use for Bible journaling techniques or other craft projects. So I’m excited this year to have the spotlight on one of my favorite craft products each month. I will be sharing oldies but goodies and also new finds that I just adore too.
So who has heard of Heidi Swapp? Better question is who hasn’t heard of Heidi Swapp if you are into crafting? I was so blessed and honored to be able to meet her a couple of years ago at the SNAP conference for bloggers and creatives. I wrote more about that HERE if you are interested.
Well she is truly one of the most down to earth and genuinely kind people I have met. She also happens to create some of the most fun and interesting products that you can’t help be hooked on. I am always excited to see what she will come up with next. One of her favorite products of mine though is the Minc Machine. The what?!
The Minc Machine is a foil applicator machine. It takes what may be an already beautiful creation to the next level. You can print any design using a laser printer (or use her specially designed Minc products) and then pick a color foil you wish to use. You run the paper or product through the machine with the transfer folder and end up with a beautifully foiled design.
Look how stunning the results are. What was a pretty hand lettered design in black font is now gold foiled.
The look of this machine is similar to that of a laminator. She even has 2 sizes with a mini version as well. I have the mini version because I use mine to do more with my Bible journaling entries. You will also find that she has Minc reactive products such as a liquid toner paint or mist that use can create other projects with. I would love to try the mist as well and then run it through with foil. The results would be gorgeous for some wall decor.
And let me just add that I am not writing this post on behalf of Heidi Swapp. Everything I have said is from my own opinion because I just love the foiling effect so much. I know you will love the results too. The best part is when you open the transfer folder and see the foil results. It truly is the little things.
Let me know in the comments below if you have used the Minc Machine before and what you love to create with it. I would love to have some new ideas. If you have never tried it and end up getting one, I can’t wait for you to have some fun. I hope to be sharing more of how I use mine in my journaling Bible this year too. God bless!
