The best and easiest way to show off this beauty is to walk you through the Bible with a flip-through video. Check out the video below and then keep reading to see more of its features listed and pictures inside the cover too.
First of all let’s talk about this faux leather cover. How amazing is that color?! There are so many words to describe it. Teal green, peacock green, but definitely green with a touch of blue… Just know that it’s stunning. 😉 Plus this font choice and foil stamp detailing for the title and also for the books of the Bibles throughout is so modern. *I am showing other supplies I had on hand to help you compare the color. The green pen in the Illustrated Faith pen pack from DaySpring is the closest match I had.
The picture below shows the inside cover of the original Illustrating Bible that is similar in color to the cover of this new one. The cover of the new one is a bit darker though.
The dimensions for those who want specifics are 9 1/4″ x 9 1/4″ x 2″. The inside cover is this blush color with a suede material. I love the light contrast in comparison to the dark cover.
Your pages are 75% thicker making it the perfect Bible for any creative who loves to use different art mediums without having to worry about bleed through. The margins are 3 3/4″ wide giving you plenty of space to use just about any supply your heart desires. Or if you are like me and love to add lots of notes and journaling, there is room for that too. *The picture below shows the smaller book titles giving you more space in this new Bible than in the older version.
I really love that the binding is spiral so it lays completely flat. I can work in any part of the Bible with ease. The coil is also super strong and durable. My original Illustrating Bible has been used many, many times and is holding up beautifully. *Below you can see the spiral binding on both Bibles and how well my original one has held up.
The font is 8 point size which is smaller for some people but keep in mind this Bible is designed more for journaling and as an heirloom and not necessarily for studying primarily.
The version is Christian Standard Bible (CSB) which I had not been familiar with before the original Illustrating Bible, and I have loved it so much. Very simple to read and understand without being too modern for my liking.
Now how amazing is this beautiful Word of God? I’m just in love with color and font so much. I know you will love it too and can’t wait for you to get yours in your hands too. Pre-orders are now LIVE (5/1) and will start shipping on 5/15 when it officially releases. And what’s even better is that the Bible has FREE shipping too! I love saving money!
