DIY Care Package for the Positive Moments in Life

You all may not have heard my announcement a few months ago, but I am going to be an aunt for the first time in January. Mark and I are beyond ecstatic and can’t wait to spoil his little butt off.

Because it will be such a joyful and happy time, I know that for me especially there will be lots of happy tears being shed that day. Of course my sister-in-law will be overwhelmed with emotion as well as my mother-in-law.

I thought it would be a nice idea for them to have their own care package while they are at the hospital and even after returning home to help them celebrate such a wonderful blessing.

I am naturally an emotional person and have shed my share of tears whether good or bad. One thing that is always in my purse is a travel pack of Kleenex. There are one of my “must haves” at all times.

I knew their care packages must also be stocked with plenty of Kleenex which I was able to find in all different size packs and varieties at Walgreens. You can even find them with aloe to help sooth your skin when having to use them a lot.

I also found a great deal that included about 5 boxes of Kleenex in one package for a great value price making it easy to keep Kleenex stockpiled for any occasion that may come up.

Included in their pack were also other little essential that I thought would be helpful. Plus it’s always a good reminder for Moms to take care of themselves as well. See below for what I included and how to put together one today.

This care package would also be a great idea for any happy moment in life whether it be the birth of a new baby, a marriage, a baptism, a graduation, etc. Kleenex for tears does not always have to be for a sad occasion.

You will need some kind of small basket, gift bag, etc. to hold your care package. You can find all sorts of these items at Walgreens as well making this really a one stop for everything.

Arrange your Kleenex and other small gifts. I chose to place mine in a basket because I feel like it makes it look more special. Place tissue paper in any holes to help fill any gaps.

Place a small card inside with a sweet note. Then you can place the basket inside a gift bag or wrap it up with clear plastic gift wrap and a ribbon.

Inside my sister-in-laws basket I placed some chapstick, lotion, hand sanitizer, and other small items that I felt would be useful.

Another great idea would be to also include a travel size of toothpaste, a toothbrush, a magazine, candy, etc.
