SO we have all these crafty goodies that we just adore but then sometimes we don’t have a clue where to get started using them. Or maybe we just don’t realize how versatile they really are. Well that is true for today’s post, but we’re going to take care of that roadblock. I can’t wait to share some fun ideas of ways to use patterned paper and washi strips in your Bible journaling entry.
I have just released more printables in my Etsy shop to help you create more fun masterpieces. There are patterned papers and washi strips to coordinate with both the Illustrated Faith Mark Maker and DaySpring Women of the Bible devotional kits. Go grab yours and any other designs for your journaling HERE.
Y’all have loved seeing process videos and ideas for my printables so I thought I would share a couple entries and process video showing different ways to use these new releases.
Below are also several pictures showing the different ideas up close. I loved using the patterned paper as a backdrop for my baby boy’s picture. Isn’t he just the cutest?!
Also I used it to layer with one of the heart paper pieces and make it really pop off the page.
Using my TAB punch, I made extra tabs for both kits so I have them for as many entries as I decide to make.
For the Women of the Bible Devotional kit, I’ve been working in the (in)courage Devotional Bible which I adore. There is limited margin space at the bottom so I wanted a tip-in that would give me extra space for journaling any reflection or prayers. The patterned paper was perfect for this. I also added one of the Better Together sticky notes that I released last week.
Add a few embellishments and stickers to the front and back and you are good to go.
For using the new washi strips, I printed them on the Avery 8665 full sheet shipping labels. They are transparent this way and you can still read the scripture through them. I added one here to highlight the passage of scripture. You could also use them just as you would with any other washi tape.
Let me know what ideas you have for using patterned paper. I would love to hear in the comments below. God bless!
