You know how much I love this time of year after I expressed all my giddiness and excitement during the Gratitude kit that went live last month. Now this month is going to be just as good if not better with the Advent kit for Christmas. You will love the bright pops of color that were used in the design. Plus there are touches of hot cocoa and mugs that I think are just adorable. (Keep reading for a special coupon code as well.)
The kit comes with 8 devotional cards full of lots of devotionals to get you started studying this special time of year. Each one has been designed beautifully with tons of color on both sides. This would make the perfect booklet as I did with my Gratitude kit from last month. (Check it out here.)
Also included are 2 sheets of transparent stickers with the same adorable ornaments and pops of color. There is also one sheet that has words and phrases. I love these transparent style stickers because you can place them over a colorful or painted background in your journaling Bible and you can still see much of the color popping through. It doesn’t feel like you have covered up all your hard work.
Besides the colorful devotional cards, the washi tape in this kit is probably one of my most favorite parts. The little mugs with hot cocoa, tea, or whatever your favorite beverage is, are just the most adorable. I see myself using this washi tape to decorate my envelopes for my Christmas cards or Christmas gifts. There is a ton of it so you can use it for lots of stuff. There are also clear stamps provided with the same phrases and designs in the devotionals. These are great to use in a planner as well if you are a paper planner addict.
Last but certainly not least are the paper pieces. All of them are designed as little ornaments with different scripture references and then also some that are left blank for you to decorate yourself. The clear stamps would be fun to use for the blank ones as well. And if you have extras, you could also use these as gift tags on Christmas gifts. As you can tell, I love to make these kits really spread wide and use the pieces for more than just Bible journaling.
Now if I were going to get a kit or gift someone with one, this would be the kit to order! Yes, Christmas is my favorite time of year, but I think there is something special and intimate about studying Advent and the true meaning of Christmas and Christ birth during this busy month. Taking the time to slow down from shopping, baking, and all the craziness is definitely putting Christ as your main focus. That is my challenge to you today, this coming month, and for next year as well. That you will take time to slow down and make Jesus Christ and time in His word a priority.
Plus you can save 30% off the kit by using code FRIDAY17 as part of Dayspring’s Black Friday sale. This code is good for the entire site too which is a perfect time to stock up on Christmas gifts.
