Bible journaling doesn’t always have to be done in a Bible. Try art journaling in Praise Book using redesigned Illustrated Faith devotional kit to truly keep all those quiet times of devotion kept safe and cherished.

Okay so who just loves CHANGE? I know I sure don’t and I bet you don’t either. It’s hard to find anyone that just loves it and can’t wait for it to come knocking on their door. But, this change I have for you today is not exactly the worst thing that could happen. Illustrated Faith and Dayspring have redesigned the monthly devotional kits, and I think you are going to love it.
The new kit comes with weekly devotional cards, journaling cards, tip-ins, paper cuts, washi tape, and clear stamps all wrapped up in a clear, plastic envelope that ties easily with string. The price is also even lower than it was before making it more affordable for more people which is always a good thing. PLUS, make sure you use the coupon code THANKYOU at checkout to get 25% off this new kit and anything from Dayspring. YES, their entire site is on sale when you use the code through 7/31 as part of their Customer Appreciation Month. So maybe change isn’t too bad.
This kit is entitled Persevere with a farmhouse style and really digs deep in those tough spots that we all deal with at some point if we are truly honest. The devotional readings will speak to every heart if we will truly be open and listen to God’s voice.
We could also use this kit in our journaling Bibles, but we mine as well change things up a bit since the kit has changed too. Have you ever heard of the Praise Book from Illustrated Faith? I actually shared in a post HERE how I have used mine as a Gratitude Journal, but now I have another fun idea.
The journaling cards that come in this kit are a little wider than the previous devotional booklet that would easily fit inside a traveler’s notebook. The card is also a little larger and heavier than what I want to put on a page inside my Bible too.
That’s why I have decided to use my Praise Book to keep my journaling cards displayed which also gives me more room to write out my thoughts, any revelations, and truths during prayer and quiet time. I can tab the page to make it easy to find the devotional entries and group them all together.
I hole punched the weekly devotional card and added it to the Praise Book. Then for that week’s spread, I divided the pages similar to a planner and have designated a place to journal each day of the week while focusing on that week’s topic.
Check out the video below to see how I’m using the Praise Book exactly with a little process video of one of my entries. Go ahead and subscribe while you’re there too. 😉
Now just because I’m using the Praise Book, I’m still planning to journal in my Bible using the scripture from each week’s card and the supplies. There are so many of the paper cuts and tip-ins that would still be beautiful in my Bible margins. I just can’t wait to use this Praise Book even more and document my spiritual journey in a different way.
I can’t wait to see what you come up with using this new styled kit and any ideas you have for using the journaling cards. Plus don’t forget to use the code THANKYOU at checkout to get 25% off this kit, the Praise Book, and anything else from Dayspring (not just Illustrated Faith items) through 7/31.

Hi Bethany!
I really enjoyed your video on YouTube. This is a terrific idea for using the new kit. ( I tracked down your blog so I could leave you feedback. ) Now I’m watching more of your videos, too.
I have already received my kit and I’m having fun playing around with what my set-up will look like.
Thanks again!
